PC Owners Enjoy Faster Horses in Diablo 4!
One Diablo 4 player recently made a startling discovery while playing the game with a controller – their mount was noticeably slower compared to when playing on PC. This discrepancy arises from the inability to stack the Spur ability, a crucial feature tied to the player's mouse cursor position on the screen. Specifically, PC users can enjoy a boost in movement speed by moving their cursor away from their character. Mounts serve as the primary mode of transportation, allowing players to traverse Diablo 4's diverse regions at an accelerated pace.
With the global rollout of Diablo 4 in full swing, players have encountered several bugs and issues. Many Xbox and PlayStation owners initially faced license problems upon entering the game, while some players reported extended periods of being stuck at the login screen. Fortunately, Blizzard promptly addressed most of these issues to mitigate player frustration.
A Reddit user, Competitive-Trade-16, shed light on the fact that players using a controller cannot stack the Spur ability on their mounts. In a video demonstration, the user showcased how PC players could achieve significantly higher speeds compared to console users. Despite pressing the ability button multiple times, console players were unable to match the increased speed achievable with a mouse and keyboard.
In the ensuing comments, many console players expressed confusion as to why others' mounts exhibited greater speed. Some players speculated that the disparity stemmed from the ability to click further on the screen, while others pointed out the issue with the Spur ability failing to stack properly when using a controller. It remains to be seen whether Blizzard will address this issue before it becomes a widespread cause for complaint.
On the Diablo 4 subreddit, players are actively sharing their opinions on the game, suggesting quality of life features that Blizzard should implement to enhance the overall gaming experience. The requested features include a revamped camera system, a dedicated tab for gems, and map overlays. Some disgruntled players are also urging Blizzard to introduce a permanent timer indicating when World Bosses will spawn.
In response to the community's feedback, Blizzard has confirmed upcoming changes to address the concerns raised. Nightmare dungeons will offer more rewarding experiences, gems will be placed in the materials inventory, and performance improvements are on the horizon for the next update prior to Season 1. The developers have also assured Hardcore players that their characters will not be lost due to service issues such as bugs or disconnections.
