Remedy has released patches for Alan Wake 2 and is investigating audio issues on Xbox
After the release of the second part of the game last Friday, much-anticipated updates for the PC and PS5 versions became available over the weekend.
These updates addressed numerous unspecified bugs and localization issues. Particularly noteworthy is the improvement in the PC update, which now provides players with a more user-friendly error message when third-party software interferes with the game's launch.
The most recent update for the Xbox version was released early this week, as confirmed by the Remedy studio. In addition to bug fixes, it tackled several visual and user interface-related issues, resolving an annoying problem where players could become stuck in interactions and unable to exit them.
"We extend our gratitude for the incredible response to Alan Wake 2," shared the studio. "We are meticulously reviewing all your feedback and observations. We have already begun addressing the technical issues identified over the weekend and promise to continue enhancing the game.
"We are also aware of the audio issues on Xbox and are actively working to resolve them," emphasized the developers.
Last week, Remedy confirmed that upcoming updates after the game's release will introduce a New Game Plus mode. They also unveiled detailed plans for two paid expansions for Alan Wake 2, with the first set to premiere in spring 2024.
