It seems that Warner is hinting at the possibility of releasing even more games set in the Harry Potter universe following the success of Hogwarts Legacy
Warner Bros. suggested the release of additional games within the Wizarding World following the triumph of Hogwarts Legacy. During an interview with Variety, David Haddad, President of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, unveiled that the Harry Potter role-playing game had sold more than 22 million copies since its launch in February 2023 until the year's end.
He asserts that this game has emerged as the "best-selling game of the year globally in the industry."
The company aims to carry forward this success with Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions, unveiled last April, and has intentions to unveil "several undisclosed projects" in the pipeline. They've pledged to "immerse fans further into the world, narratives, and characters."
Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions, currently in its beta phase, is described as a "dynamic, competitive multiplayer game dedicated to the most emblematic form of magical sport globally." It is slated for release on PC and consoles, although the exact launch date remains unconfirmed.
"We haven't made specific announcements yet about the timing or approach for hitting the market, but we're striving to meet the desires of our fans," mentioned Haddad.
Leaks of the game's video materials, which emerged last summer, suggest the potential for players to create their own character or select from established characters like Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Draco Malfoy, and Cho Chang.
