Street Fighter 6 x Darkstalkers: New Crossover Brings Halloween Thrills and Exclusive Rewards!
Street Fighter 6 has received a new update introducing Darkstalkers-themed content. Recently, Capcom collaborated with SNK, adding the beloved Terry Bogard to Street Fighter 6. Now, players are gearing up to celebrate Halloween in style.
While Street Fighter is one of Capcom's most iconic franchises, Darkstalkers also holds a special place in fans' hearts. The series debuted in the mid-1990s and became a hit by featuring a roster of characters made up of werewolves and vampires. This cast produced some fan-favorite characters, such as Felicia and Morrigan, who later became recurring names in the Marvel Vs. Capcom games. With five games, multiple ports, and adaptations in other media, Darkstalkers has remained a beloved franchise.
Now, Darkstalkers is making a comeback through a new crossover with Street Fighter 6. Available until October 22, players can purchase the Darkstalkers Fighting Gala Pass for 250 Fighting Coins (equivalent to $5 USD) from the in-game store. This pass offers 30 levels of rewards that can be unlocked by accumulating Kudos through weekly challenges. Some of the rewards include gear that transforms the player's avatar into the werewolf Jon Talbain, a character from the original Darkstalkers game who has appeared in nearly every entry of the series.
Street Fighter 6 players can earn rewards from the Darkstalkers pass through both the paid and free tracks. The paid track offers exclusive items such as a photo frame, challenger screen, titles, and music. This crossover is part of the game's monthly Fighting Pass, which brings cosmetics and content with a new theme every month. Back in March, for instance, there was a collaboration between Street Fighter 6 and another Capcom IP, Mega Man, which introduced themed cosmetics and items.
As Street Fighter 6 players enjoy the new Fighting Pass, the future of Morrigan and the Darkstalkers cast remains uncertain. The most recent appearance of the Darkstalkers franchise was in 2022, when all five games were included in the Capcom Fighting Collection, released for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. While there are currently no announcements regarding a new Darkstalkers game, fans remain hopeful that Capcom may eventually revive the series, allowing werewolves and vampires to battle once more.
