Star Wars Outlaws Roadmap Revealed: Major Updates and New Expansion Coming in November!
The development team behind Star Wars Outlaws has released a roadmap outlining upcoming improvements to the action-adventure game through November 2024. Among the updates is the highly anticipated first story pack, but there’s plenty more in store for players.
Star Wars Outlaws, set in the expansive Star Wars universe, launched on August 30 to generally positive reviews from critics, though the player reception was more mixed. Less than a month after its release, the developers have announced major updates, giving fans a clearer picture of when they can expect these enhancements.
According to the game’s official Twitter account, two smaller updates are slated for October, with a larger one planned for November 21. The first update, scheduled for October 3, will address bug fixes, while the second, set for October 24, will focus on quality-of-life improvements. Although Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment have yet to specify the exact issues these updates will tackle, it’s clear the game had some technical problems at launch. Early patches have already resolved some bugs, including one that forced players to delete their save files to progress the story.
Major Star Wars Outlaws Update Coming November 21
While the October updates aim to improve the game’s overall experience, many fans are eagerly awaiting the big update on November 21. This will include the Star Wars Outlaws paid Wild Card expansion and a free DLC update. The Wild Card expansion follows protagonist Kay Vess as she infiltrates a high-stakes Sabbac tournament, where she crosses paths with fellow scoundrel Lando Calrissian. While players can already interact with Lando in the base game, the expansion offers more opportunities to see the fan-favorite character in action.
The November 21 update won’t be limited to paid content. All players will benefit from a free update that includes additional contracts and improvements to the combat and stealth systems. While the game offers various gameplay styles—ranging from cover-based blaster battles to speeder bike racing—the stealth mechanics have been a point of frustration for many players. Critics have noted the harshness of the instant-failure mechanic and the limited options for evading enemies. The upcoming update aims to address these concerns, enhancing the stealth gameplay and overall experience.
