Diablo 4 Unveils Harlequin Crest Rework for Season 5
Diablo 4 has announced a rework of the Harlequin Crest, also known as Shako, which will be available in Season 5. The upcoming season will bring significant changes to itemization, promising to enhance the player experience.
Uniques are the most coveted item rarity in Diablo 4, with some being class-specific and others available to all players. One particularly popular Unique item is the Harlequin Crest. This helmet can drop from monsters, chests in World Tiers 3 and 4, Nightmare Dungeons, Gathering Legions, or bosses like Duriel, King of Maggots, and Echo of Andariel. As the current season draws to a close, Blizzard has revealed the future of this fan-favorite item.
Wowhead has provided a first look at the Harlequin Crest rework, highlighting its new attributes. In Season 5, this iconic helmet will offer 1,850 maximum life, an additional 18 maximum resources, 2,500 armor, and a 20% base cooldown reduction. Notably, the level requirement for using Shako has been removed, catching the attention of many players.
Major Overhaul for Diablo 4's Unique Items
The reworked Harlequin Crest will feature nearly triple the cooldown reduction, increasing from 7% to 20%. When combined with enhancements to Diablo 4's Masterworking system and Greater Affix, players could achieve a staggering 54% cooldown reduction with this item alone. The updated Shako will also provide 1,528 maximum life, 12% resource generation, and an additional 28 to all stats. The unchanged attributes include 20% damage, four additional ranks, 1,156 armor, and 925 power.
With Season 4 nearing its end, Blizzard has announced that Diablo 4 Season 5 will start on August 6. Developers have also previewed what to expect in the coming months, including the addition of over 50 new Unique and Legendary items. All existing Unique items will undergo changes, and Uber Uniques will be rebranded as Unique Mythics. More details about these updates will be shared on August 1, when the patch notes for the fifth season are released.
