GIANTX Acquires iTero Gaming in Multi-Million Dollar Deal
The acquisition will enable GIANTX to utilize AI-driven performance coaching for the game, providing it to fans and gamers around the world.
As part of the acquisition, iTero Gaming founder Jack Joseph Williams has joined GIANTX as the Head of Gaming Technology. While GIANTX did not disclose the specific financial details, the organization confirmed the deal is valued in the multi-million dollar range.
“I’m excited to be joining the GIANTX team. EXCEL ESPORTS was the first esports team I became a fan of, and I’ve followed their journey over the last few years,” said Williams. “I believe and have always believed that data and AI have the potential to seriously disrupt the status quo of esports, whether that’s finding undervalued players or identifying strategies outside of the standard meta.“
“We are thrilled to announce our acquisition of iTero Gaming to help elevate player performance to new heights!” said Tim Reichert, Co-CEO of GIANTX. “This marks a pivotal moment in GIANTX’s ongoing commitment to innovation and excellence in esports, empowering players worldwide to achieve their competitive best."
