The information that has already spread on social media is related to ongoing gaming tests organized by EA (Electronic Arts). These tests, which have recently become available to a wider audience of players, regularly lead to information leaks.

In contrast to previous installments of the Skate game series, where players could get off their skateboards and explore the environment, this update suggests that the new game will introduce more diverse means of movement.

Currently, the game is in the testing phase on PC, but EA plans to expand testing to consoles. In an official blog dedicated to the year of PC gaming tests, the company reached out to console players, assuring them that they haven't been forgotten.

"We also want to welcome the Skate console gaming community. Currently, testing is exclusively conducted on PC, but we promise that console tests will be available," the message reads. "There's no specific announcement date yet, but stay tuned for updates."

The Skate game was announced unexpectedly in June 2020 and generated significant interest on Twitter through EA's official account.

It's worth noting that Skate is a free-to-play game and serves as the debut project for Full Circle, a studio located in Vancouver, led by former Xbox Live General Manager Daniel McCulloch, who spent 15 years in the Microsoft gaming business before joining Full Circle in 2020.

Skate will support cross-play and cross-progression between PC, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles.
