New details of StarLadder i-League CS:GO StarSeries Season 3

The qualifiers to StarLadder i-League CS:GO StarSeries Season 3 will take place in three regions: Europe, America and China. In each of the regions, the teams will compete for the right to participate in the main stage of the tournament that is scheduled on April 4 – 9.

LAN-final will be held in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, and the Palace Ukraine. The best team will get a chance to participate in the main stage of SL i-League StarSeries 3 and share the reward of $300,000. The qualifiers of European and American division will start with the group stage. The matches will be played according to round robin system with best of three format. All teams will be divided into 4 groups with 4 teams in each. Two best teams from each group will move to the next stage. 16 teams will participate in the play-off stage. 8 teams selected during the qualifiers will join 8 teams that received direct invites. All play-off matches will be played in single elimination bracket with a traditional best of three format. In Chinese region the rules of the qualifying stage are more complicated than in American and European regions. The participants of 4 groups will play in Double Elimination bracket. In the upper bracket, the matches will be played according to best of one format, and in lower bracket, according to best of three format. Two best teams of each group will meet each other in play-off of the group stage with Single Elimination bracket. Three best teams of the group stage will join the LAN-final. Despite the European and American divisions, in China, 11 teams will receive invites (in European and American divisions, only 8 teams receive the invites). Other 5 teams will be selected for the qualifiers on the preliminary qualifying stage. After the end of qualifiers to LAN-tournament, 3 teams from Europe, 2 teams from China and 2 American teams will get the invites to the main event. In European region, the matches will start on February, 10. After the European qualifiers, the American qualifiers will start and continue till the middle of March.
