The Copenhagen Wolves team is gearing up to make a comeback in the esports arena
The esports organization Copenhagen Wolves might make a return to the professional Counter-Strike 2 arena, as reported by the American portal Dust2.us, citing an interview with Jared Habib.
According to Habib, he has been appointed as the new CEO of the club. He mentioned, "We initially discussed the purchase in 2019, but it didn't materialize then. A few weeks ago, I got in touch with Jacob Lund Kristensen, the CW founder, and now everything is falling into place." The new owner of Copenhagen Wolves also emphasized that the club intends to venture into not only Counter-Strike 2 but also other popular disciplines like League of Legends, Valorant, and more.
The club was founded in 2009 and disbanded in 2016. It featured prominent figures from the Danish esports scene, including Lucas "gla1ve" Rossander, Nikolaj "HUNDEN" Petersen, Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen, Andreas "Xyp9x" Højsleth, among others.
