ENCE Shakeup: Snappi and sAw Depart as Gla1ve Rumors Swirl
ENCE has officially announced the departure of Marco "Snappi" Pfeiffer and Eetu "sAw" Saha from the organization. Snappi is expected to join Falcons, as reported by SheepEsports on November 5, while sAw's destination remains unknown, with Falcons already having Danny "zonic" Sørensen on their roster.
According to the same report, ENCE is eyeing Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander as Snappi's replacement. This speculation gained momentum when the former Astralis captain left the Danish organization on Wednesday after reaching an agreement with an unnamed team.
The Snappi and sAw duo played pivotal roles in propelling two different versions of ENCE to the No. 2 spot in the world rankings, first with Lotan "Spinx" Giladi and then with Guy "NertZ" Iluz. Their achievements included a title victory at IEM Dallas 2023, runner-up finishes at ESL Pro League Season 15, IEM Dallas 2022, IEM Cologne 2023, and Gamers8, as well as top-four placements at PGL Major Antwerp and several other major events.
Snappi expressed his gratitude to ENCE for trusting him as a captain and for creating conditions for winning. He revealed receiving lucrative offers from other teams during his time with ENCE but prioritized the pursuit of victories.
sAw also thanked the organization and his former teammates, acknowledging that the decision to explore new opportunities was not easy but necessary for the next phase of his career.
ENCE's CEO, Mika "miqaqu" Kuusisto, and General Manager, Niklas "Willkey" Ojalainen, thanked Snappi and sAw, crediting them for their contributions. Willkey disclosed that ENCE made substantial efforts to retain both players, offering generous compensation and contract extensions, but respected their decision to move on.
"We made it possible for both of them to continue with us and extend their contracts with us with great compensation," he explained. "It was their own decision to make the change, and we honor that choice. I wish good luck for both of them in their future projects."
