ESL has announced the launch of a new season of IGS with a million-dollar prize pool
ESL has announced the launch of the fifth season of Intel Grand Slam (IGS) with a million-dollar prize pool. This season will take into account all of the company's championships, starting with IEM Rio 2023. The winner will earn a million dollars.
The fifth season of Intel Grand Slam will cover both CS:GO and CS 2. To receive the award, teams must win three ESL Pro Tour Masters series tournaments and one Championship status tournament within ten competitions.
Teams are allowed to change players between tournaments, but must retain a core of three participants. If a player leaves the team and competes in the IGS tournament for another team, they forfeit their right to receive prizes if the previous team wins.
ESL has retained the bonus for winning the final against a team that has already won three tournaments and is eligible for the award. The winning team will earn $100,000 for this. The bonus can be paid an unlimited number of times during the IGS season.
