Why Was Amouranth Banned From Twitch?

Amouranth is one of the most popular and highly controversial female streamers in the industry. She has been creating content since 2016 and has won one award for Best ASMR Streamer at the 2022 Streamer Awards. But, she also got 7 bans from Twitch over the course of her career.

The most recent one was on the 18^th of July 2023, which left many fans wondering what went wrong. Below we will reveal everything about this event.

Amouranth's Recent Ban From Twitch

The famous female streamer got her 7^th ban on Twitch only two months after her 6^th ban. It is very rare for a content creator to receive this many bans and continue broadcasting on their channel.

Many fans were confused following this event and some were referring to her recent major deal with Kick, Twitch's biggest rival. In case you don't know, Amouranth recently signed a deal with Kick that is worth between $30 and $40 million. After that deal, she started streaming on both platforms.

The official reason for the ban is still unknown. Neither Amouranth nor Twitch has released a statement following the ban. It is worth noting that most of her bans come without any explanation.

One day before the ban from Twitch, the biggest female streamer risked a similar action from Kick. She was twerking during a stream on the new platform, which is a breach of the community guidelines.

Amouranth's 7^th ban on Twitch only lasted for a single day. The streamer rankings show now once again streaming on this popular platform as well as on her new channel at Kick.com.

Previous Bans on Twitch

As we noted earlier, Amouranth has 6 other bans to her name on Twitch. She got her first ban in 2019, 3 years after creating a channel on this popular platform. The ban was due to accidentally exposing herself during a live stream.

She was playing with her dog on the floor where she experienced several wardrobe malfunctions. This ban only lasted for 3 days, but it caused Twitch to keep a close eye on Amouranth.

Her second ban can 6 months after the first one. This one is very mysterious, as it occurred very shortly after an IRL stream from a gym. No one knows the actual reason for this ban, but many suspect that is something similar to the previous ban.

The ban was due to last for 3 days, but Twitch lifted it only after 27 hours. During this period, Amouranth lost 300,000 followers and blamed the platform for technical issues.

In May 2020, she received her third ban for showing a viewer's profile picture during a stream. To make things worse, the picture featured inappropriate content. Streamers face harsh bans for such conduct, but Twitch saw it as an accident and only gave her a 23-hour ban.

Amouranth's fourth ban came in June 2021 and no one knows the actual reason for it. But, many suspect that it has to do with the sexual nature of her streams in a hot tub. The ban lasted for 3 days.

Her fifth and sixth bans are also mysterious as the reasons behind them are unclear. The fifth one lasted for 3 days and it came with simultaneous bans on TikTok and Instagram. As for the sixth ban, this one lasted only for a day.
